I miss my hometown. My hometown is Sibu.
It’s been awhile I haven’t visit my hometown. My last visit was on last year during my cousin’s wedding.
What do I miss most about my hometown. Definitely the shopping spot. (big GRINS). Especially The Star Daesim and Wisma Sanyan. You drop me at those place for a day, and I’ll go wild. ahahaha.
Hmm.. what else. Owh.. I like the food. haha. Pulut Panggang , Pat Lau, Char Koi Pak Jack, Rojak Kassim depan panggung Cathay lamak, Kuih Pak, Buah Dabei Sibu (lemak lemak..).. Those are the foods that I couldn’t find in any other area.
Pulut Panggang (bigger + longer size)
Kueh Paq as I call them when I wasa kid. "Guang Bing was invented by the hero Ji Guang as dry food for his soldiers to carry along during Anti-Japanese occupation war in China. It tastes like French Bread but it has sesame seeds on top. It is now one of the popular food of Foochow."
Haa.. enuff on foods.
I was born in Lau King Howe Hospital, Sibu. Local people must know the hospital. Situated near the longest river in Malaysia – Rajang River. Today you wouldn’t find the hospital anymore. The place had been removed and they buil a waterfront plus the Lau King Howe Hospital old monument.
Well I managed to have a sightseeing at my birthplace.
