DIY Vanity Makeover

Day 6 of the quarantine process…
Amani’s condition is getting well. However, rules are rules. We are still forbidden to go outside. So I take this opportunity to fill the time with my craft project and reading books.

Yesterday something possessed me. I became too energetic, too crafty that suddenly the idea to makeover my vanity set pop up in my mind.

image

I started with matching the wrapping paper and a table liner. Perhaps you would asked me why Pink? I don’t have the answer. It’s just so irresistible to look at the lovely flowers design and polka dots design.

image

First, let’s take a look at the closet behind the vanity mirror. I really disagree with the look. So dull and unorganised.

image

And then the cutting and matching process begins. What do you think? I love it! So I keep on doing the process until the final result.

image

Ta-da!! The look has transform! It looks so alive compared to the previous look.

image

Last but not least, this is the front dressing table look. Took my vintage flower vase to stuff the lotion bottles instead. Now… no more sore eyes.

Please tell me, do you like my idea? Till then, friends… bye for now.

image

I have my own birthday wishlists. If you are my instagram follower, you might had seen the wishlist post I made. Lol! Perhaps I am inspired by Becky Bloomwood (Shopaholic series). Indeed, this is a reminder for myself. I like to reward myself by buying my own birthday gift.Clockwise : Chanel Lipstick, Cath Kidston handbag, SK-II Facial Treatment Esence & Lycra Praying Veil.

image

Well, someone had granted my wishlist. It was my aunt who lived in KL, sent me two praying veils to me. Ibstead of wishing one, I got two!!  That is Amani, wearing the veils for photoshoot. Hehe. Thank you Aunty!! So sweet of you.

Yeap, the second thing granted was the SK-II  Facial Treatment Essence. I bought it myself. Hehe. This is the first time I’m trying the product. Never had a chance to buy it before as the price is so…. umm… you know. ^_~

Hfmd – Coxsackie A6

The title might sound scary.
Well, I am in the middle of the situation now.
Amani had HFMD again. Yeah… this is the second time she got the disease. The last time was last year. When my life turned upside down, because of this. I almost quit my job… Scary mama. huhu.

image

Luckily, for this time it was not as bad as last year. Perhaps we had experienced on how to handle it and the doctor said because Amani was older now. On Saturday, she became too clingy and I could feel the hot temperatures on her palms and soles. She told me she felt pain on her sole. So I checked on her sole and found that there was a small red dote on it. And then I checked on her palms… more red dotes but not so obvious. If you didn’t pay more attention, it could be mistaken like a normal rash. Lastly, I checked on inside her mouth. Just great…. there were red dotes. That’s the answer… My instinct told me it is HFMD.

So we rushed to the clinic. Her temperature hits 38 degrees. Very high. The paedritician made a checked up on her like I did. First on her soles, palms and lastly her mouth. Confirmed! She was infected by virus Coxsackie A6, which means she had HFMD. (I knew it… sigh..)

Given a letter to be quarantine for 10 days… I feel like a dejavu. hmm…

image

Alhamdulillah it is Day 4 now… she is recovering. The red dotes getting dissapears and they didn’t formed into blisters. There are no more red dotes inside her mouth, and as the paed. told me it’s a good sign because they didn’t formed into ulcers.

I also followed on advices from some experienced mom… one of them Kak Pidah. She told me to give her Vanilla ice-cream and Yakult. That’s what I did. It works! Thank you for your advice Kak!

Now, Amani is treated like a princess. She gets to eat whatever she wants. Like… “pink doughnut”… that was her request that day. huhu…

Get well soon my dear…

My advice to parents out there, please.. if your children had fever… please please please monitor them. Check on their palm, sole and mouth.. once you confirm they are free from the symptoms… then you can send them to the nursery, school or meet with other children. I know some parent dis not alert with this…

Little Amoi

image

That day, as usual DearDear and Amani would fetched me from work… and they would spent time waiting in the car. As I entered the car, I saw Amani was holding the paper plane.

So I asked her where did she get the plane. She told me her teacher made it for her. What makes it so funny was her nickname in school was written on the plane. Yes, her teachers and friends call her “Amoi” I remember the first day I sent her to school, the teacher told me she looks like “Amoi”. So the name was stick to her until now. Lol.

image

I bet she’ll carry the name until she grows up. At home, we also used to call her Amoi. She’s okay with the name so far and didn’t get confused when we call her own name. She understands that she have two names. 😀

It also reminds me of Yaya, my niece. She loves to be call as “Kakak” when she was Amani’s age. Kids are funny… lol.

Birthday Getaway

On my birthday, I had planned for a weekend getaway at Damai Beach Resort. It was something that I look forward, for the three of us.

image

I guessed it was just my day. We had a chalet which was facing the sea view. I was very excited! I love the room, very comfortable for three of us. See the first picture on top? I love sitting at that place and watching the outside view. How I wish I have a room like this.

image

After we checked in, we went to the Damai Central for lunch. There is a foodcourt and a few shops but the price is killing! Well, we had no choice but to buy from the limited shops. As you can see, the trademark of the place is the arch of the big hornbill. It’s a must to take picture of the trademark.

image

In the evening, we had a walk along the sea shores. Capturing the beautiful views of the beach. It feels soothing…

image

I love taking picture of trees. I found that tree is a unique subject. It’s natural… Agree with me?

image

That’s us! Hehe. Amani was still afraid of the water. She’d being clingy to me all time. haish…

image

The next morning, we woke up surrounded by a beautiful view. As you can see, it’s a Mount Santubong on the background. After having breakfast, we went to the beach. At first, Amani was crying and doesn’t want to walk on her own. I just forced her and let her played with the sands. Still, she’s being stiff and couldn’t go far from us. huhu.

image

Doodle time!! This activity somehow distracted her fear for a while. She was having fun doodling on her own. 🙂

image

Amani with her ‘Kakak’. That’s a barbie name given by her. I must let Kakak had fun together with her. Otherwise, she would feel insecure. muhuhu.

image

At noon, we checked out from the resort. Before heading home, Amani asked me to take a picture of the archs. I bet she loves the arts.

image

Off we went home. I took a few pictures from the way to Kuching. Another Mount Santubong shot for you… There were few stalls on the roadside, we stop by to have Coconut juice and bought some Jeruk (prickles).

image

Now, that’s me and Amani signing off for today. I hope you enjoy reading this entry and sightseeing the views I had taken.

Till then…

Azura Chan. xoxo

My Birthday’s Eve

Hello friends and readers….
Well you must be wondering, whether I receive a flower or not during my birthday eve? The answer is yes. x)

image

No surprises, no romantic treats… no sweet words. I chose the flower, and he bought it for me. Lol! Told you, we are not a romantic couple. ;-p

image

However, I still appreciate his effort for taking us out and had dinner together. I odered my favourite Spaghetti Carbonara. Yummz!!

image

This is just enough for me. Spending my special day with my special one… Both of them are my other half.

image

I feel grateful for having a chance to live another year with my loves. Thank you DearDear. I love you no matter what. Thank you Amani. I know you still don’t understand what’s life now, but Mama still want to thank you for being you. Perhaps, you will stumble upon this blog when you grows up. I want you to know that Mama love both of you.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, and your prayers… I pray that your life will be greater as well.

Love;
Azura Chan. xoxo

There was only one time I got a flower from him.

During that day, we were on a date… he stop by the street and bought me a rose. (blush)

Ussy feat Andhika Pratma – Ku Pilih Hatimu

ku pilih hatimu tak ada ku ragu
mencintaimu adalah hal yang terindah
dalam hidupku oh sayang
kau detak jantung hatiku

setiap nafasku hembuskan namamu
sumpah mati hati ingin memilihmu
dalam hidupku oh sayang
kau segalanya untukku

janganlah jangan kau sakiti cinta ini
sampai nanti di saat ragaku
sudah tidak bernyawa lagi
dan menutup mata ini untuk yang terakhir

setiap nafasku (setiap nafasku)
hembuskan namamu (hembuskan namamu)
sumpah mati (sumpah mati)
hati ingin memilihmu (ku milikmu)
dalam hidupku oh sayang
kau segalanya untukku ooh

janganlah jangan kau sakiti cinta ini
sampai nanti di saat ragaku
sudah tidak bernyawa lagi
dan menutup mata ini untuk yang terakhir

oh tolonglah jangan kau sakiti hati ini
sampai nanti di saat nafasku
sudah tidak berhembus lagi
karena sungguh cinta ini cinta sampai mati

tolonglah jangan kau sakiti cinta ini
sampai nanti aku tidak bernyawa lagi
dan menutup mata ini untuk yang terakhir

oh tolonglah jangan kau sakiti hati ini
sampai nanti di saat nafasku
sudah tidak berhembus lagi
karena sungguh cinta ini cinta sampai mati
cinta sampai mati

Body Lotion

image

The only body lotion that is being “kind” to my skin is from the St. Ives brand. I was born with sensitive skin which made me very choosy when it comes to beauty products. Most of the beauty products outhere can harm my skin. I really don’t care products with “whitening” agent or “collagen”. The first thing I search for when reading the details of the product is this word “Hypo-allergenic”.

This lotion is recommended for people with sensitive skin. Plus, I love the fresh smells of this lotion and it is non greasy.
