Sweet Seventeen

Hello AC readers…

Today is #throwbackthursday. Normally, I would post old photos on my instagram on Thursday. As for today, I’ve posted two photos that reminds me of my sweet seventeen moments.

image

The first photo is a letter holder which was my 17th birthday gift from my best friend Syu. I bet she knew that I was a ‘letterholic’ since that time. I’m still keeping this letter holder, and it is still in a good condition. Thanks again dearie…

image

The second photo is my pencil case when I was in Form 5. It was belongs to my sister in the first place. After she went abroad to further her study, she gave it to me. Now, let’s take a look on what was inside the case. My craziness over stickers especially ‘Rei’ the Sailor Mars from the Sailormoon characters. I got to be Rei that time, while my other friends being each of other Sailormoon characters. Lol! Look at how ‘cartoon’ we were before.

You must be guessing who was on the other picture that I kept. That’s Michael Owen and his partner at that time. Hihihi… Everyone in my school knews that I have a huuuge crush with Michael Owen before. Lol!

That’s all for today. I am trapped in my own memories today. Kind of missing the old times… 🙂

Weekend outing

Hello AC readers!

My last weekend was full with outside activities.

image

I had set a date with my dearie sister (being so closed with her since we studied in Unimas before. And she was like my baby sister. hehe). The last time we met, it was 4 years ago. It was a few days before my wedding day. She told me she couldn’t attend the ceremony, so she visited me instead. After that, we were busied with work, life and have no time to meet. (life in city… ) And this year, am repeating the moment vice versa. She is the ‘bride-to-be’ on this coming Gawai. Feeling happy for her and miss her already. Congratulations sista!

image

After the meet up, Amani and me wandered around the One Jaya while waiting to fetch DearDear (at the office). It was Girls’ Day Out! Finally I have a shopping companion.. At night, we had a family dinner at the One Jaya Topspot Seafood. I prefered this place than the one at Bukit Mata. Easier to bring kids and the place also not so stuffy.

image

On Sunday, my girls and I had attended a Seminar of Wedding Industrial at Riverside Hotel. It was pretty boring, and as you can see from the picture… I guessed I’m more attracted to the lamp decorations rather than the speaker. Zzzzz. What made me dissapointed is the way they managed the function. The registration was chaotic, including the certificate distributions… oh my… I was left without having my certificate. I don’t mind either. -_-

Fancy Breakfast

Hello AC readers. How are you today?
My weekend was full with outside activities. Will update about it later.

image

One morning, Amani was asking for honey stars cereal for breakfast. After I let her had it, I left her with the cereals and continued on making other breakfast for the rest. When I came back to her, I saw that her cereal was so fancy with colours. She had tossed some sprinkles in the bowl. Lol! She was enjoying her fancy breakfast.

Creative little girl. She had invented a new way of having cereals. ×D

First envies

Hola AC readers!
Remember that I promised you that I’ll update on the #yourcitymailproject? Yeah, I’m keeping my word.

image

So I have received the first envies from my partner, yesterday. I was so excited to have it. It was so much fun reading the facts and ‘tour’ araound Forestburg. I can picture the very peaceful city. Although my partner mentioned it is just a small city, but I find it is still an interesting place to visit. I would prefer living in a quiet town rather than facing a hectic city lifestyle indeed. This place reminds me of some places here like Mukah, Sarikei, Sri Aman….

I’m hoping my parcel has reached you Megan. I have prepared some stuff to include in the second envies. Yeay!!

Happy weekend everyone!

Charmies

Happy Thursday AC reader?

Ever since I’m a kid, I always fascinated by charm bracelets. I always saw it from the gold/jewelery shop and dreaming that I must have it one day. I didn’t want to beg my mom to buy one for me because I know she couldn’t afford it.

Now I’m working and have my own incomes, I still haven’t buy myself a charm bracelet. Hehe… Instead, I’m planning to make my own charm bracelet. Meanwhile, I’m planning to collect charms.

image

These are some of my collection. I love the Eiffel Tower (knowing that I may not be able to go to Paris, at least I’m keeping the ET charm), The Fairy (I’m a dreamer), The Guitar (my favourite instrument, but sadly I don’t know how to play) and The Vintage Mirror (Vintage, who can resist? 🙂 ). Each of it has a trademark of me. hehe.

The three charms on top of the picture I had selected for Amani and DearDear. The Cat (we all love cat… or “Yayau” as Amani would call it), The Cinderella shoe (This one was picked by Amani herself) and The Camera (DearDear really loves photography).

image

Remember the charms given by Angela? I feel super extra excited to see them added to my collection. And I’m still collecting…. I’m looking for Froggy charm, still haven’t found it anywhere. If you do, would you like to trade it with me? ^_×

Cheating eating veggies…

Hello AC readers….

It is known that, children hates to eat veggies. Me myself, hated it when I was child. Not because of the taste. I had an experienced that the veggie were stucked on my throat. Since then I am being a picky when it comes to eating veggies. Well, now not anymore. I love veggies!

That makes me understand when Amani refused to eat veggie. I wont trying to push her eating something she dislikes. However, recently her skin was getting more sensitive. It only started with a mosquito bite, then it totally turned out to be wound. I just couldn’t bear to see her scratching herself and leave the scar to her face.

Now, back to basic. The only food that can heal wound is vegetable. I’d discussed this matter with my sister, about how to force her eating veggie. Since she likes to eat creamy soup, my sister was suggesting me to do a homemade vegetable creamy soup. Cheating way to force her eating veggie. Yeah!

image

This recipe I learned from my sister.
1. Prepared a vegetable broth as usual. I choose potatoes, young corns and sweet peas. (Can substitute to brocolli, spinach, carrot…. etc)
2. After that, blend them together (using blender machine).
3. Heat it again, add on milk until it looks creamy. (sonetimes I add on cheese)
4. Voila! The Veggie Creamy Soup is ready to be served. (Oh, she liked it very much without knowing that she is eating veggie) ;p

Problem solved!

Baking Demo Class

Hi everyone. How’s your blue Monday? ^_×

If you’re loyal AC reader, I bet you have known that I am really really lousy at baking. Lol! Therefore, I’m signing in myself and my friend Ain for a Baking Demo Class. 😀

image

The event was organised by Sing Wee Hock Pastry at Kuching Park, Hotel. The demo was conducted by Chef Teoh from Kuala Lumpur. We were given 4 recipes that he would baked that day. The recipes are Cat’s Tounge Biscuit (Biskut Lidah Kucing), The Ugly Chocolate Biscuit, Raisin & Oat Drop Cookies and lastly The Date Mousse Cake. The main ingredient that they wanted to promote is the Colatta Super Compound Chocolate.

image

The good thing when attending class like this is that you learn some new knowledge of baking. As the Chef said, sometimes we blame the recipe, or we thought we had followed the wrong recipe. Indeed, there are many factors that affecting our baking. For example the room temperature sometimes affects on the texture of the batter/dough. So he is being so generous with the knowledge that he had made comparison on the batter/dough (as you can see from the three plates picture). This knowledge, you would never find it in tv show or the book.

image

So can you see the pink box in the picture. That’s the Colatta. The taste is different from normal cooking chocolate that we can find in pastry shop. It also makes your biscuits and cakes taste different – taste of chocolate!

image

Each of us were given The Colatta Chocolate Button. It’s delicious! Yess, it can be eaten just like that too. The Sing We Hock Pastry shop now has offering the Colatta at Raya Promo Price. Go grab it! x)

image

There you go. Last picture with the chef before the class ended. Thank you Ain for accompanying me. Am looking forward for another demo class in future. 😉

Ciao all.

Happy Posto (May.2014)

Hello AC readers! How are you spending the weekend?

Last week, I have received a parcel from Singapore. When I flipped on the other side to see that the sender was Angela or Wisher. I was so happy when I know it was from her because from my past experienced, she would never let you down with her parcel. 🙂

image

It was a surprise gift from her for taking part with the Happy Spring Blog Hop 2014. Owh… you shouldn’t have…

image

How can you’re not excited when seeing those beautiful gifts in your parcel? I love the Sakura embroidery and the cutie charms the most. Not forgetting the cross stitch threads and some candies. Thank you very much Angela! You are very sweet and generous. I’ll make sure to send you something in return. 🙂

Happy Teacher’s Day

Hello AC readers!
Today is 16th May, 2014. If you are in Malaysia, today is officially a Teacher’s Day. When I was still schooling, today we (the students) were happily giving gifts to our beloved teachers.

Now that I’m a grown up adult, I had leave the school memories so many years. Every Teacher’s Day, it didn’t really affects on me. However, this year I get to feel the excitement once again. It is so common, Teacher’s Day means a mother have to prepare gift for their children teachers. Lol. And this time, it includes me!

I have searched so many creative ideas from Pinterest. There is willing to do those thing but…. I have no time. So the easiest way that pop up into my mind is to bake a cake for Amani’s teachers.

image

Ok. Everyone knows that I’m lousy in baking. Lol. So I just bought the premix Velvet Cake, mix the ingredients together and voila!! My first attempt in baking a Velvet Cake. With some help from DearDear and Amani especially for the supporting part and sprinkles the cake. Thanks my love…  I never thought with ‘premix’ ingredient could save my life.

image

Then comes to my favourite part. Decorating it! Tied some ribbons, stick a sticker and my favourite vintage applique sticker… hmm. Looks good. hehe.

image

This is Amani, so excited to give the cake to her teacher. All her teachers were surprised when she handed the cake this morning. hehe.
With this opportunity, I would like to wish Happy Teacher’s Day to all teachers out there.
