Selfood #15: Aek Kupi

Assalamualaikum everyone! How are you doing?

Finally, I have joined the local crazziness at the moment. Aek Kupi, the name of this local hipster beverage. In some local dialects, Aek Kupi means Coffee drink. As you know, I am not a coffee lover (unless it is served cold or with ice) but when I saw this drink have been so popular in Kuching, so I went to try.

Located near Masjid At-Taqwa, Gita, this stall operated from 2pm until 6pm everyday except on Tuesday. The first time I went to try, it was around 5pm and the drink already sold out.

I went to try my luck again last weekend. I came earlier, around 2.30 pm and I saw the queue already long. I guessed I was the 10th to 15th customer at that time. When I went to pick-up point, the people queing to order have reached  until the main road. There were many flavours so I chose two Cappucino and one Vanilla Chocolate (new flavour).
Tada!! My Vanilla Chocolate. I’m not a coffee lover, so I don’t know how to judge the taste. I can only taste the vanilla and chocolate. It was okay and can you guess how much is the price for this big cup? It only cost RM6!

Yeay, got smiley face. πŸ™ƒ I was about to ask them to write Azura Chan on that cup but I changed my mind. Malu… wahaha. And my tummy was full that day. Alhamdulillah…

Happy Posto (Jan/16)

Assalamualaikum. How are you my friends and readers?

This is actually a late post from last year. I haven’t updated my happy mailbox for awhile.

Since I have registered into Postcrossing, I have received postcards from overseas. Those were from Netherlands, India and Denmark. I love the tulip card the most. 🌷

And here are the stamps…

And laso I received a postcard from my friend when she was backpacking at New Zealand.

Another postcard I received was also from my friend who visited Korea quite recently. Colouring postcard is in trend nowadays.

Do you have postcard for me? πŸ˜€ We could swap!

I have more postcards to update here. Wait till I have finished organizing them all. πŸ˜—

Secret Santa

Assalamualaikum and how are you my lovely friends and readers?

For some of you might have known that I have one facebook group for book lovers. It is called Buku Junkie group. For the last month activity, I have organised a Secret Santa.

The game was simple, each of us was assigned to give one book to one group member.

This is the book that I got to send to my assigned member. I chose My week with Marilyn, a memoir since she prefered to have memoir genre.

And here is what I received from my Secret Santa. Northern Lights by Philip Pullman. It was a great choice indeed. I can’t wait to read this book.

Mitsui Flower

Assalamualaikum. Happy weekend everyone!

Some people told me that when your cactus flower is blooming, it brings to you a good luck.

If you remember Mitsui, my aloe vera cactus. Since I transfered it into a bigger place I saw that it grew bigger and bigger. And then there comes the ‘aerial’ with few long buds. I knew it would produce some flowers. Nothing could describe my feeling that time. Everyday I would visit Mitsui just to check out whether the flower is blooming yet. I was so curious how the flower would look like.

Yes. Waiting can be so torturing. After waiting for about 2 weeks it started to bloom. Each bud takes turn to bloom everyday. How lovely! 💖

(picture above : Kifu with thorn head 😂)

That was my greatest avhievement in cactus planting so far. 😂 I could still remember my first cactus was died because of too much watering. From that experienced, I have made some reading on cactuses and succulents. And my collections are getting more and more… 😁

Nature Beauties

Happy new year! Sorry for my long silent. Not sure what’s my problem. Been into writer’s block lately.

I have added some new collection into my green gallery. Let me serve your eyes with the nature beauties that I have captured.

These are Tenma (my new cacti), Renji (spiky cacti) & my two ‘minions’. I only got a chance to watch Tenma blooms today. Cute isn’t it?

Pink Torenias. Didn’t know where does the pink seeds came from because I only have purple torenias.

Id please. This is some wildflowers that I picked and made them into flower arrangement.

Got this rose from my friend. I remember that day we were swapping flowers before went to work. 😂
