Assalamualaikum…
October been my progressive month in reading. Perhaps I was so busy and not really in a good health condition. I would just open my ibook and read. My kind of therapy.

Title : A Monster Calls
Author : Patrick Ness
On the early month, I saw from my hosting group – Buku Junkie that this book is recommended. This book is heart wrenching, sad and at the same time giving hope to us. I gave 5 stars for this book. Soon it will be a film version.
Synopsis (from Goodreads)
The monster showed up after midnight. As they do.
But it isn’t the monster Conor’s been expecting. He’s been expecting the one from his nightmare, the one he’s had nearly every night since his mother started her treatments, the one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming…
This monster is something different, though. Something ancient, something wild. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor.
It wants the truth.

Title : Black Ice
Author : Becca Fitzpatrick
In the meantime I read this book. Remember my favourite fallen angel series, Hush Hush? This book was from the same author. Yeah, although most of her books were underrated, I found thst I love her writing. And this book, also one of my favourite. Very mysterious!
Synopsis (from Goodreads)
Danger is hard to resist in this sexy thriller from Becca Fitzpatrick, the New York Times bestselling author of the Hush, Hush saga.
Britt Pheiffer has trained to backpack the Teton Range, but she isn’t prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two very handsome occupants—but these men are fugitives, and they take her hostage.
Britt is forced to guide the men off the mountain, and knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. The task is made even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that have taken place there…and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.
But nothing is as it seems, and everyone is keeping secrets, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy? Or an ally?

Title : Anna and the French Kiss
Author : Stephanie Perkins
I always love the cover of this book. Always tempted to read it. At first I thought this is a romance genre book. Turns that it is a young adult genre. Just a light reading. Teen story, but I enjoyed reading it.
Synopsis (from Goodreads)
Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris–until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all…including a serious girlfriend.
But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

Title : Burn for Burn
Author : Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian
Last book that I read for that month was this series. This is the first book of Burn for Burn series. It was from my favourite author, Jenny Han (the one who wrotes To all the boys I loved before) and collaborating with her high school friend Siobhan Vivian (also a write). This book was suprisingly great.
Synopsis (from Goodreads)
Postcard-perfect Jar Island is home to charming tourist shops, pristine beaches, amazing oceanfront homes—and three girls secretly plotting revenge.
KAT is sick and tired of being bullied by her former best friend.
LILLIA has always looked out for her little sister, so when she discovers that one of her guy friends has been secretly hooking up with her, she’s going to put a stop to it.
MARY is perpetually haunted by a traumatic event from years past, and the boy who’s responsible has yet to get what’s coming to him.
None of the girls can act on their revenge fantasies alone without being suspected. But together…anything is possible.
With an alliance in place, there will be no more “I wish I’d said…” or “If I could go back and do things differently…” These girls will show Jar Island that revenge is a dish best enjoyed together.
Now, how progressive right. Lol. I’m near to complete my reading challenge. Wishme luck. Ciao. 😘
