I always love the herbs on top of laksa and spaghetti. Therefore I decided to plant my own herbs this year. Started with Corriander.
After a few weeks the leaves started to change like corriander. 😂 Yeah, don’t laugh. I was worried in the beginning, why does my corriander leaves looks like those. Then my mom told me they will change. Lol!
Also loves Daun Kesom on top of Penang Laksa. This is the second time I tried to plant this herbs. The first died dried on the spot. The second time also almost died. So I quickly transfered it into a bigger pot with more sunlight. I had to check on the soil and keep it damp everyday. And now, voila! They are ready to harvest.
Remember my mint plants before? Well they didn’t survived. I had to buy the new baby and learned the lesson. Never abandoned them. This plant need sunlight and a shady place at the same time. 🍀
Planting edible plants or herbs had taught me to be more patient and giving extra care to nurture them. Unlike the cactus, they are more independent.
“To love me, it’s up to you.
To hate me, I never do”.
**Renji is blooming. 😍
“In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invicible love.
In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invicible smile.
In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invicible calm.
I realized, through it all, that… In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invicible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger, something better, pushing right back.”
During weekend I love making green juice. The juice contains green apples and daun pegaga. Add some asam boi for flavour. No sugar added. It taste really good. Trust me. 😉
That day DearDear came home, he brought along this. He said his Bidayuh friend gave it to us. At first I thought it was ‘tapai’ nasi.
This is how it looked inside the leaf. It was glutinous rice, and taste like Ketupat. Actually it looked like a ‘lepat’. My Bidayuh friend told me they are using Bamboo leaves instead of Banana leaves. Anyway, thanks to DearDear friend for being so generous toward us.
I’ve tried on planting mint herbs, once. And they died immediately. Bahaha. This time I’m trying my luck again. Bought this plant at Stutong Community Market for RM8. I had transfered it into a hanging pot. Let’s see how long it bear living with me. 😆
I bet you are wondering what happen to my green gallery. 🌵 Yeah, I’m still gardening but had slow down. 😂
Peach… Just love this colour.
Look at this, the more the merrier.
One day, spot on those two flower buds. I was so excited to see it blooms.
This roses had grown taller and bigger.
There it goes. Super blooms! 🌹🌹
On Merdeka day, I followed my parent in law to visit Dear Dear grandmother in Sematan. So off to Lundu we go. Managed to capture the Pandan Mount from the bridge view.
After coming from Sematan, we stopped at Pandan Beach for a while. Such a beautiful view and a very nicr weather that day.
This angle is continued from the previous picture.
The big rocks are still there. I called it mini rock mountain.
Close up a little bit.
After Maghrib prayer, we went back to Kuching.
p/s: Lucky to buy Ikan Kembung at RM10 per kilo that day.
One day Amani brought home her science project. It was green beans experiment. I remember that I was doing this experiment when I was in primary school. This time, my daughter had learned this at such a young age. That’s good!
She was excited to see the bean sprouts are really spouting. She even brought back to school to show it to her teacher.
I teased her that she must eat the beansprouts because it’s good for health. She then ran away and made her face. Lol! Another failed attempt to force her eating veggies.
