Nasi Ayam Penyet at Chicking Eating House. (thumbs up!!)
Hello lovely readers,
Last weekend I accompanied my brother to buy Kek Lapis Sarawak (Sarawak Layered Cake) for him to take away to Peninsular Malaysia. Without much thinking, we went to Mira Cake House located at Kampung Boyan. (just the opposite of the Kuching Waterfront)
The last time I went here was two years ago. At that time, they were selling cakes at the food stalls. I was surprised to see they are now have a proper cake shop. Bigger even! Impressive. Many people knows that they once had a downfall during the Golden Churn issues. Nothing could stop them. Now, they are more established.
Apart from selling ‘old school’ cakes, now they have added someΒ commercial name cakes. There were Kek Tengku Adam, Ariana Rose, Mr. Arrogant, Mael Lambong, Ngap Sayot, Neelofa.. etc. I bet the taste are all the same. (Not really a fan of Layered Cakes though. π¦ ).
There were biscuits too. My brother ‘borong’ about 5 types of cakes. His favourite is Kek Lumut. I have to agree with him. The Kek Lumut in Mira Cake House really tastes delicious. Yummeh!
On Saturday, we sent him fly to KL. From his face, I know he feels ‘heavy’ to leave. With the ‘water problems’ happening in Peninsular, money problem (always a student life problem)… and homesick (yeah, admit it bro. haha)
Amani also joining us to send her uncle. She told me she wanted to go to ‘Ke-Ewl’ as well. I wonder what do children at her age knows about KL. muhuhu. I only loves the shopping part. Besides that, I doubt to live in a hectic city like that. huhu…
Till we meet again bro. My teddy bear. ;D
Hi all. How was your weekend?
It’s been a great weekend for me.
My youngest brother is here for mid semester break. So we decided to have a family gathering at Waterfront Cafe, Hilton. My father’s condition is also getting better. He is now capable to walk with his walker. Alhamdulillah…
My favourite all the times. Sushi and Caesar Salad. I think I have ‘sapu’ all the sushi on the plate. Lol!Β The other food were also marvelous.
The kids were having fun, especially Amani. She really enjoyed her cousins’ companion. She also getting hyper, running here and there. Sugar rush….
This is our youngest member in the family. Baby Emir. Amani didn’t get jealous yesterday. Thanks to all the audience who saw her doing her performance. lol!
The cousins. Looks like they were really having fun. I realised, off all the pictures… my family is very popular with ‘photobomb’ pic. Lol!
Untill next time…

Hello everyone.
I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Well, this is a story of the last Friday. I’m sorry I’m not commited to update my blog everyday. It is because I was very tired and this morning I had dizziness. I guessed I don’t have enough rest recently.
Okay then, back to the main topic. Last friday my company had an office lunch at Sarawak Club, Kuching. Once I heard where the venue was, I feel extremely excited. Haha. Why? Because I really loved the food.
This is the first course. Loves the roti jala… yumm yumm.
Moving on to the second course. The roasted chicken. Love the deco.
Now this is my most faaaayvorite in Sarawak Club. The butter prawns. Trust me, Sarawak Club has the best butter prawn in town. wiwiwi.
History time! Did you know that Sarawak Club was once in razed around July 2006? I remember I was stilll studying in Unimas during that time. Now, it is fully renovated and they have one section in the building that displayed some left artefacts from the fire. I managed to take some interesting photos. Clockwise (L-R):
1. Remains of the Rajah Room’s crockeries during the pre dawn.
2. The charred glasses, utensils…. how sad to look at it.
3. The clock which hung on the wall of the library somewhat eerily showing the time the intense heat of the fire reached the library.
4. The cock head, the only artefact saved and left by us during the massive lunch. Lol!!!!
Here’s me and my girls… Intended to pose with “crossed leg” but our photographer captured the candid moment. hehe.
Added one of the photo into my #100happydays challenge. π
That’s it for today. Till then, ciao…
Konichiwa my lovely readers…
Last two months I had bought one Groupon deals of Mazazu Crepe.
It was the first time I tried on buying through Groupon. The Mazazu Crepe promotion deals has caught my attention.
From RM15, the deal includes any two of the Delicatessen Crepe and two of any coffee or green tea. Without much thinking I bought the deals. The redemption has started on my birthday. Since I was so busy last month, I didn’t got the chance to go to the Merdeka Plaza.
So, last Saturday I went to the outlet and started the redemption. hehe. I brought along DearDear and Amani. DearDear was curious about this outlet. So I told him to look at himself, the premise and the place they make the crepes. There is no secret ingredient as they displayed the ingredients and the way they make it. Great!
The Mazazu Crepe sells varities of crepes. I was once having the ice cream crepe and tuna crepe. I think I would prefer crepes with filling like tuna, chicken, salami etc rather than something sweet.
We were having Chicken Mushroom and Chicken Cheese with pizza sauce crepes, and two cups of Blue Mountain Blend coffee & Capuchino Coffee. DearDear prefer the Blue Mountain, while I’m just sipping one and two times only. (I am a tea person. hehe). My favourite so far – Chicken mushroom! π
That was it. If you haven’t been to Mazazu Crepe, do have a try. Especialy for those who loves Japanese food. I will assure you this is the best crepe outlet in Kuching. heee..
Till then, have a great day ahead. Bye.
Hello readers and lovely friends….
I bet some of your place is having spring season at the moment right..
Well, in Malaysia we do not experienced the spring season. However, this month I spot on that it’s like a blooming season…
The mango tree in front of my house is blooming. Meaning…. it’s going to be mango season soon. Yippie! My father told me this tree is the same age as me. They srarted to plant it on 1982. (so I let you do the calculation on your own). lol.
This is a view from the back of my house. The yellow flower also blooming. Only my cat – Gendot didn’t bloom. Lol. But I bet she’s enjoying the ‘blooming’ season.
So, did your flowers start to bloom? I wish I had tulips on my garden. But that’s imposible. I wish to hold real tulip one day….
Bye for now…
On my birthday, I had planned for a weekend getaway at Damai Beach Resort. It was something that I look forward, for the three of us.
I guessed it was just my day. We had a chalet which was facing the sea view. I was very excited! I love the room, very comfortable for three of us. See the first picture on top? I love sitting at that place and watching the outside view. How I wish I have a room like this.
After we checked in, we went to the Damai Central for lunch. There is a foodcourt and a few shops but the price is killing! Well, we had no choice but to buy from the limited shops. As you can see, the trademark of the place is the arch of the big hornbill. It’s a must to take picture of the trademark.
In the evening, we had a walk along the sea shores. Capturing the beautiful views of the beach. It feels soothing…
I love taking picture of trees. I found that tree is a unique subject. It’s natural… Agree with me?
That’s us! Hehe. Amani was still afraid of the water. She’d being clingy to me all time. haish…
The next morning, we woke up surrounded by a beautiful view. As you can see, it’s a Mount Santubong on the background. After having breakfast, we went to the beach. At first, Amani was crying and doesn’t want to walk on her own. I just forced her and let her played with the sands. Still, she’s being stiff and couldn’t go far from us. huhu.
Doodle time!! This activity somehow distracted her fear for a while. She was having fun doodling on her own. π
Amani with her ‘Kakak’. That’s a barbie name given by her. I must let Kakak had fun together with her. Otherwise, she would feel insecure. muhuhu.
At noon, we checked out from the resort. Before heading home, Amani asked me to take a picture of the archs. I bet she loves the arts.
Off we went home. I took a few pictures from the way to Kuching. Another Mount Santubong shot for you… There were few stalls on the roadside, we stop by to have Coconut juice and bought some Jeruk (prickles).
Now, that’s me and Amani signing off for today. I hope you enjoy reading this entry and sightseeing the views I had taken.
Till then…
Azura Chan. xoxo
This is the best rice porridge I’ve ever had in Kuching. We called it ‘Bubur Kedei Kakak’ (Sister’s shop porridge). ahaha. The porridge taste soo ‘lemak’ and the portion is just nice to my stomach. It cost only RM2.50 You can find her stall at Lemon Tree Cafe, besides the Wisma Mahmud (CMS) building.
