The Craft Swap Project : Pin Cushion

Hello everyone!

Before Hari Raya, me and Ain had organised a craft project in our group “The Craft Project”. It was our first project since the group has been created. The main objective of the project is for an ice breaking session among the group member and at the same time to show each of the group member’s talent in crafting.

So the project was called “The Craft Swap Project”. Every group member were assigned to each partner. The project title is a ‘Pin Cushion’. Every participant required to make one Pin Cushion (freeway medium) for their assigned partner. The deadline was given for about a month for them to complete the project. After that, they need to send the pin cushion to their partners.

I also took part in this project. So here what I’ve made for my partner.

Just a simple pillow pin cushion with a daisy on top of it. πŸ˜‰

I never expected to receive an overwhelmed responsed from the members. Thanks to each of the participant for their efforts and supports. So here I will present their contributions for the project. You will be amazed by their creative creations.

Thank you Ct Rokhaida, Ain I. Anuar, Iskandar Edziah, Mass Manan, Queen Zaza, Ashikkin M. Nor, Rafidah Ahmad Moghni & Nazirah Nony. 😍

Thank you Eino Shi, Ross Mor, Nazatul Shida, Jenn Mor & Orie Momoe.

I wish in the future, we could make a craft gathering and this time we meet in person yeah? ☺️

Until our next project… see ya.

Hello AC readers…
Last month I had participated in a #yourcitymailproject from the Instagram. It was organised by Raquel.

First of all, let me briefly explain to you what is all about the project. The main concept is exchanging infos on our city to our partner. After registered, the host will assigned us to our partner (from other country). After that, each of us must prepare for the first envies to be send to our assigned partner. The first envies should include paper goods such as maps, random info, postcards, pictures, ephemera, info about museums, a note with your favorite places to hang in the city etc

Luckily, I have been assigned to Megan Michelau from Canada. I was so excited because I had never been to Canada or had any pen pal from the country. Yeay! So given by the limit of a few weeks to prepare the envies, I had gathered as much as I can the pamphlets, brochures, postcards, token for my partner. My friend Ain also joined the project, we worked together to complete the task.

Look at what I’ve got for Megan. From the beginning I had feel the thrilled of doing the task. It was so much fun! I got to know my own city such as historical facts, geographic facts and besides that, I am promoting my city! I loved the idea in the first place.

Before sending out the parcel, me and my partner had sent a sneak peek picture of the content of the parcel. Here’s what I will receive. I can’t wait to have them and touring around the city. I’ll keep you updated!

This is my favourite pamphlet. I have two extras plus a few brochures and postcards. If you are interested to swap your city with mine, please email me ( your address.

Now I am preparing for the second task, which is the second envies. The second task is more exciting as we will exchange something typical such as souvenirs (keychains, magnets, notebook etc).  Wait for my updates!

Postcards for pen pals

I have promised to my blog friends Angela and Marian that I will be sending postcards for them. So the postcards hunting begun for the past few weeks.

Later that I found, it was hard to find postcards nowadays. I went to the bookstores but found none of it was selling postcard.

So I went to the Main Baazar @ Craft Baazar to continue the hunting. Only a few shops were selling postcards, and the postcards were faded. I am soo sad to see this. This is not a good impression for tourists when they’re visiting our country.

Last weekend, I went to the Plaza Merdeka. There I found a souvenir shop, so I went to see it. Luckily I found there were so many postcards, souvenirs which is not ‘faded’. The most important thing is the price was so good. Like buy 3 for RM5, Buy 4 for RM10. Good marketing strategy!

So here’s my caught for the hunting.

A Sarawak Museum. The museum is located in the middle of the city.

The Cats Monument. This is also can be found in the middle of the city. A trademark when you come to Kuching.

Those postcards are on their way to the owner. Hopefully they will like it. πŸ˜‰

I have plenty of postcards and souvenirs to swap/trade. If any of you interested to join the circle, do email me ( and we will start the swap activity. Would love to hear from you soon…

Postcard from Singapore

When I was still in school, one of my hobby is collecting and swapping postcards with my pen pals or my swap friends.

However, the fun activities stop after I entered college/universities life. Indeed, I missed swapping and writing to pen pals.

Luckily found Sweet Angela from wordpress blog. I saw that she also loves collecting postcards, so we decided to swap postcard.

This is the first postcard she sent to me. Thanks dear… am still searching for the right postcard for you. πŸ˜‰
