Book Junkie is back

Hello lovelies…

Thank you for my daughter’s birthday wishes. She is now busied with her new princess’ house. It’s a doll house, our present for her. I’ll mAke sure to write about it someday.

IMG_3646.JPG

October seems to be my crazy day. I am back to my addiction. This is my bookhaul from the Big Bad Wolf, Seremban. No, I didn’t go there. As usual, my friend bought them for me. Saw the ads on fb, so text her instantly. Luckily she managed to grab those book. Thank you, Fara! 😘

Now I have a complete series of The Hunger Games. That means, I have two copies of the first book. I think I’m going to let go one of them. Let’s see anyone want to buy it from me? The Hush Hush saga, looks like a completed series. No it’s not. The second book is still missing, Cresendo. Never mind, am going to hunt it on another book fair. Hehe.

IMG_3645.JPG

I also bought this Malay urban book from MPH Bookstore. Saw the review was good, so I bought it without a second thinking. The plot was more like a Prison Break and Shawshank Redemption, only the setting was in Malaysia. Thumbs up for the young writer!

There is another book I bought from Popular Bookstore. Peony in love by Lisa See. Somehow, I didn’t take a picture of it. I’ve already added the title into my TBR Jar. i wonder when it is the time to read the book. Hehe.

IMG_3647.JPG

After finished reading Lolos Penjara, so I pick one title from my TBR Jar. Perfecto! It’s Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I’m not cheating yeah…. Hehe. So, this is my current read. I’m not stuck in the ‘angel world’ Hehe. Yeah, I keep on fantasise on the Charmed series and Supernatural Series… where there were fallen angel characters on it. Same goes to Hush Hush.

Alright then, I think I heard the fallen angel is calling me. Till then lovelies… Xoxo.

Princess’s Birthday

Hello everyone!

IMG_3626.PNG

Yeah, it’s my little princess’s birthday today. Happy Birthday sweetie! Today she turns three. People always thought she was 5 years old. Well, nope. She’s three. 😜

IMG_3634.PNG

No celebration for her today. We’ve postponed it until next week because DearDear is outstation. Well, it doesn’t stop her from receiving her birthday presents. Ok, there’s little Emir in the picture as well. He will turn one years old this coming Tuesday. So Happy Birthday to Emir too!

IMG_3635.JPG

And.. not forgetting to wish a Happy Birthday to my dearest friend and business partner : Ain 😊 Whom sharing the same birthday with Amani. They’re October babies! I am surrounded by many October babies, including DearDear, my mother in law, nephews, cousins and friends. How do I find their character? October baby seems to be super hyper active, talkative and fun to be with! Lol!

Postcard from Japan

Moshi moshi mina san!

I used to have pen pals from Japan. Not exactly a pen pal, more to cyber friends. We contacted through mixi website (it’s like a fb but in Japanese) and through email. Unfortunately, I’ve lost contact with them.

I always wanted to have incoming mails from Japan. Therefore I am still looking for new pen pals from the country.

IMG_3595-0.PNG

Last week, I received a postcard from Japan. Well, it wasn’t from any new pals from there. This is from Abg Fadli of mytravellicious. I thanked him for the lovely card! It’s a Mount Fuji printed on it.

I hope I can get more incoming mails from the country of the sun rise in the future. Or I wish…. that someday I can visit Japan.

Ja! Mata ne~ Sayonara!

Overnight Oatmeals

Hi friends and readers. How are you feeling today?

Have you take your breakfast today? Speaking of breakfast, I would like to share with you how was my overnight oatmeals project went on.

So I’ve been making the overnight oatmeals like trial and error. I only made them during weekend.

IMG_3584.JPG

Overnight oatmeals with strawberry and ground nuts. The look is so presentable. Yeah, in case you are wondering… the strawberries were from Cameron Highlands.

IMG_3586.JPG

The second attempt is Overnight oatmeals with oranges and tablet candies. It added sweet and sour taste to my oatmeals. Ahak… I stole some candies from Amani. I kind of like the sweet taste blend in my oats.

IMG_3585.JPG

The third attempt is Overnight oatmeals with dates and music cubes from Munchys. After tasting the candies in my oats, I was tend to like my sweet oatmeals. Therefore, for this time I’ve added dates from Mecca. The taste? Superb!

Now tell me, how do you prefer your oatmeals taste like? Do you prefer it to taste like sweet? Or sour? or… Salty? Hehe.

Babies’ new home

Hola everyone!

I have brought home new babies from Cameron Highlands.

IMG_3491.JPG

Welcome to a new home, babies! They are five of them. I also learned some tips how to take care of the cactus. The uncle told me, instead of pouring water into the pot, use a spray bottle and avoid spraying on the cactus. Just spray it on the soil. Well now I know I had made mistakes towards my previous cactuses. Sigh. πŸ˜”

IMG_3567-7.PNG

Here are my collection. I am planning to upcycle the motorcycle basket into a cactus rack. For the time being, I just put them here. Can you see the white plastic on the bottom of the pot? That’s the egg carton! Instead of throwing it away, I keep it as my pot holder. πŸ˜€

That’s it for today! Hope you have a great week ahead. Ciao! πŸ˜ƒ

Hello friend and readers!

IMG_3566.JPG

Eid Mubarak to all muslim friends, brothers and sisters… Here also, Amani and me would like to wish DearDear a Happy Birthday! 😘

So I have finish telling you the stories of my family vacation. We fly back to Kuching the day after the Cameron trip. I bet you can imagine how exhausted I was after travel. Phew~

IMG_3565.JPG

Whenever I went to a new place, I must bought fridge magnets or keychains for collection. Those were my collection of fridge magnets. Some were given by my friend and the rest I bought myself. Not forgetting the cutie froggies, which I bought at Cameron Highlands. Isn’t it cute?

IMG_3486.JPG

I also bought keychains for my friends. Although I know some of them had went to the place, I hope they are still don’t mind. It’s like when I am away, I would still remembering my friends. 😊

Now, tell me… What would you buy when you went for vacation? πŸ˜„

Floral Friday – Garden Flowers

I know it’s Saturday, and I’m late for a Floral Friday post. 😏

The theme is ‘Garden Flowers’

IMG_3552.JPG

My home doesn’t have a proper garden. Only a small backyard but no flowers are blooming this month. I longed for my hydrangeas to bloom, however they are not. Looks like we are having a rainy season now. The weather made me prefer to stay at home and doing some craft project instead of going outside.

IMG_3554.JPG

These are flowers from in front of my home. Thanks to the red hibiscus for adding some colours to the little garden. There were Euphorbia (I googled for the name. 😜) too which has no specific season to bloom.

**This is a blog hop. You may click to this link and hop over to other bloggers who participate in Floral Friday. ☺️

That’s all for now. I hope you enjoy reading my post for today. Ciao! 😘

Family Vacation Part V – Cameron Highlands

Moshi moshi!

As promised, I would like to share with you the most memorable trip I had for the last two week. It was none in our plan that we were going to Cameron Highlands.

Early in the morning, DearDear woke me up and asked me to get ready. I asked him, where are we going? He told me “we’re going to Ipoh. Cik (his uncle) have some work to do in Ipoh, so he bring us along. Get ready faster, others are waiting outside” Oh my. My body still feel the ached from the Zoo trip and the night after that we were wandered around the ‘uptown’ until 2 am. It made me think, when were these townies had time for sleeping? So I dragged myself to get ready as fast as I can, including preparing the milk, flusk and some clothes for Amani. Want to know a secret? Amani didn’t took a shower that day. The whole day! Lol!

IMG_3532.PNG

From KL to Ipoh, we drove along and had a pit stop at Pak Tam’s for breakfast. Look at Amani, still wearing her pajama outfit. Lol! My tummy couldn’t accept heavy food that morning. So I didn’t finish my breakfast meal.

IMG_3533.PNG

We arrived in Ipoh around 10 am. While waiting for DearDear’s uncle to settle his job, we wandered around Ipoh town and headed to Tambun. Have you ever heard of The Lost World of Tambun? We only took pictures at the front entrance and bought some souvenirs. It wasn’t suitable for a short trip. At least stay overnight, then it is worthier going to this kind of place. Never mind, added to my travel wishlist. Hehe.

IMG_3534.PNG

At 11.30am, DearDear’s uncle drove us to the Cameron Higlands. I just love the view all the way to Cameron. The fresh and green view, the wild orchids were beautifully along the roadside. We stopped at the Strawberry farm for praying. While waiting for others, Amani had a photoshoot with her new Princess Umbrella. Hehe. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a strawberry season. The strawberries were still green. Not much we could see though.

IMG_3535.PNG

We continued the journey to Brinchang. It is a commercial town with many hotels, shophouses, restaurants, food courts and here you can buy souvenirs, cactuses, flowers, veggies etc. After having lunch at the food court, the rain poured heavily. The pouring rain feels like ice. So cold.

So we arrived at the main point. The Cameron Valley. Once you came here, you must have at least a cup of tea and enjoying the beautiful view of the tea valley. Well, we ordered glasses of tea. Lol! I was lucky enough to have a seat near the balcony. It was so mesmerizing….

IMG_3536.PNG

Luckily the rain had stopped. We went down to the tea farm and get a closer look at the tea trees. I have falling in love with this place on the spot. I love the fresh air that we breathed in. I love the greenie views. I love the peaceful sound. I love everything about this place. 😍 This is certainly for a tea lover. Sorry, coffee lover. 😜

IMG_3537.PNG

Before going back, we went to the Tea House’s shop and bought some souvenirs. I managed to grab a few flavour of teas and a cutie mug for myself. Hehe. 😝 Oh, there was one plant that caught our attention. The hanging upside down flower. We found at the Brinchang people were selling this flower’s fritters. It tasted like fried aspsragus. I have no idea of the name of this flower. My mother in-law told me it is called Bunga Sundal. Perhaps this is what people call Bunga Sundal Malam. Any ideas?

IMG_3450.JPG

It was sad to leave this place. Especially when it had captured your heart. I certainly will go to Cameron Higlands again in the future. I’ll make sure to visit the Lavender Farm, Flower Garden and Cactus Valley next time. Those were places that I didn’t visit for that day trip. Well, we had to get going back to KL before it’s getting dark.

So long Cameron Higlands! It was my most memorable trip so far. I leave you with my favourite picture that I took that day before leaving the place. It reminds me of The Beatles’s song “Strawberry Fields Forever” πŸ“

Till then, bye!

Splash splash at the swimming pool

Hello everyone!

The day after the Zoo Negara trip, I woke up with ached all over my body. It felt like I had been running for a sport day. Lol!

That day, I was supposed to follow DearDear’s family to go to Pahang, for their cousin’s second wedding reception. However, I decided not to follow them. Instead, I called my aunt and they fetched over me and Amani to their place.

IMG_3524.PNG

So we spent our day at my uncle’s home that day. In the evening, we brought along Amani to play at the swimming pool. As you know, she was scared of water before. That day, she discovered a new experience of getting inside the pool. (I didn’t take any picture of it). At first she was scared, but when I tried to put her half body inside the water she was enjoying it. And… doesn’t want to come out from the pool. Haiya… new problem. Well, at least I know now that she loves being in the water. Looks like it is easy on planning another getaway at somewhere resort next time. Hehe.

IMG_3310.JPG

Before sending us back to DearDear’s aunt house, my uncle took us to into a car ride around the town. He suddenly stopped in front of the Twin Towers and urged me to snap a picture of it. There you go, one of the trademark of Kuala Lumpur. Unfortunately, I haven’t got a chance to go inside. Perhaps next time.

Looks like there are so many places I haven’t visit. Okay, that’s all for today. Tomorrow I have a memorable trip to share with you. Stay tuned! Adios.. πŸ‘‹
